Thursday Pau Hana Paddle Cancelled

Hui & New Paddlers;

Current weather forecasts show Thursday and Saturday as 50% rain/snow with high temperatures in the low 40 degrees and low temperatures in the mid 30 degrees area. Kumu Butch and I made a decision to cancel the Thursday Pau Hana Paddle for this week. While it is likely that Saturday paddle will also be cancelled, we will wait till Friday to check the weather forecasts again before making a final decision. Hopefully the weather will improve by Saturday or in the near future so that we can start paddling on a regular basis. We appreciate your patience and support. Call me at 801-721-7026 if you have questions.

Mahalo,

Ben

Pau hana paddle on Monday

Kumu Butch and team put the Melinda Hanohano into the Great Salt Lake today (Saturday). She is currently tied to the dock – slip #3 on the North end of the GSL Marina across from the Hui Shack and is ready for a Pau Hana paddle on Monday at 5:30PM till dusk. That should give us about 2 1/2 hours to paddle and clean up. No pot luck is planned for Monday and Thursday paddles. If we have more paddlers, we will put the Duke into the water also. Please pass along this e-mail to those that I don’t have e-mail addresses for or to others who wish to paddle.

If you have any questions, call Ben at 801-721-7026.
