ALoha,

The Hui will be paddling tomorrow (9-5-09) at the GSL Marina from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm. Please arrive on time to help with the rigging of the wa'a. Also, please bring your favorite food item to share with everyone or make a donation to the food fund.

Secondly, a big MAHALO'S to all who assisted with our Spanish Fork Kite Festival event last weekend!! Many families were thrilled at the opportunity of paddling a Hawaiian outrigger canoe just like on the shores of Waikiki but at a $14.00 discount!! The Hui gave nearly 300 wa'a rides and sold almost 240 "broke da mouth" shave-ice!! The funds earned will go toward re-painting the Hui Shack and other items which need attention before the colder weather arrives. Mahalo for your help and assistant. Also, MEGA MAHALO'S to Uncle Butch, Uncle Ben, and Uncle Larry for helping transport the wa'a safety to and from this event!!
