Aloha Hui Members and Friends,
We will be paddling this Saturday, July 15, 2017. Kumu Kaleo and Ohana will be visiting Utah and will join us this Saturday. Kumu wants to practice Malama Honua while at the GSL Marina so we have planned a small service project to clean up the area surrounding our canoe storage area. We will clean up, pick up trash, pull weeds and make our earth a better place. Please bring a few tools and this should take no longer than 20 - 30 minutes. Therefore, we will start our activities at 9 am and finish up around 2 pm or sometime after that. Most times we don't leave till after 3 pm.
We will have our normal pot luck luncheon sometime after 12 Noon. Again, it will be a hot day as temperatures should be around 100 degrees. Last Saturday was definitely one of our hottest paddle days. Bring protective gear, sun screen, water, gatorade, and anything else to ensure a safe and enjoyable paddle.
